This move met with success in 1957. However, the joy that must have followed the success of the recovery was short-lived as the Mexican government by law adopted bought over the shares and assets of the company.

In 1982 the company was affected by the economic down turn in the country. This has an adverse effect on the company operation as the economy condition created a dollar increasing leading to an increase in debt. Due to the increase in dollar debt the international patronage fell by 27%, this crisis caused a devastating blow that resulted in bankruptcy.
